We were totally reliant on Checkatrade to source us a trustworthy expert for our renovation project. We registered and listed our requirements, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

It all starts with their sneaky fees, which they hide in the legalese. Then, there's the terrible customer service that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to get your money back, but it's like pulling teeth.

We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so reliable with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Then, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
